Excuse me for going all Perez Hilton, but...long before I had a raging crush on George Clooney, I loved Ken Olin of 'thritysomething' (1987-1991). Thankfully I was not quite in that age group yet, but I loved the gang! Michael, Hope, Melissa, Elliot, Nancy, Gary and even Miles who are now all fifty-something will always hold a special place in my heart with their silly little problems and adult angst. However, I wanted to marry Michael Steadman. He was sexy, sincere and hot!
Now that Ken Olin is a successful producer/director (Felicity, Alias, Brothers & Sisters) he is behind the scenes. Still married to 'thritysomething' co-star Patricia Wettig I had to do a triple take of the photos of my dreamboat at Saturday's The Art of Elysium gala.

I hate love to admit it, but I'm addicted to Top Chef! Especially since one of the three finalists (Dale Levitski) is from Chicago. I had one of his last meals at Trio and it was yummy.

This is totally off topic, but October 1 is a special day for us! Today we hit 2,000 posts on our blog! It took us 15 months to get here! Pretty unbelievable. That's a lot of typing, but we love every minute of it. Thanks for reading!

Every woman should know by now know that October is National Breast Cancer Month, but did you know September is National Ovarian Cancer Month?
- In the United States, over 20,000 women will be diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer this year. Over 15,000 women will die.
- Of those diagnosed, only about 20% will be diagnosed in the early stages. If diagnosed in the early stages, before it spreads outside the ovaries, 93% of woman are still alive 5 years later.

The 5 year survival rate for those diagnosed in later stages is about 30%.
