Retail Detail. Urban Outfitters Welcomes New Designers.

Urban Outfitters is jumping on the train of Target and H&M, and is welcoming guest designers to make b-lines for their stores. Charlotte Ronson introduces Play by C. Ronson to Urban stores. The line features reversible tanks, rompers, and blazers, and the designer distinguishes it from her main line in price and playfulness.

Ronson said, "Well, first of all, it differs pricewise. We are able to create high quality pieces at a lower price point and make them more accessible to a larger number of people. My line has also become more sophisticated and so it was fun to be able to bring in more of the C. Ronson elements with Play by C.Ronson."

Also joining the Urban team is Samantha Pleet. The Brooklyn designer has created a line called Rapscallion for Urban that will enter stores in October. According to Refinery29, "she recasts her goth-and-lollipops tea dresses and rompers for the mass market. The color palette is darker, the materials are less silky," but the line is still remarkably Pleetish. See some preview looks below.
