Model News. Gemma Ward to Retire?

Well, maybe not exactly. The 20 year old Australian model plans to quit modeling to pursue her acting career. She has already performed in indie flick The Black Balloon alongside veteran actress Toni Collete, and thriller The Strangers with fellow former-model Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman, so it seems like she's got her foot in the door.

The blonde bombshell, who was nearing supermodel status with her campaigns for Prada, Calvin Klein, Burberry, and many, many others, and 24 Vogue covers worldwide, launched the babydoll look in models. (A list of other dollfaced models might include Sasha Pivovarova, Jessica Stam, Lily Donaldson, Lily Cole and Caroline Trentini.) She may not be strutting on runways this fall at Fashion Week, but we expect to see much more of Gemma, as model or actress, before her days in the spotlight are over.
