Here is a trend I have been noticing and while I like it, I caution you to tread ever so lightly. The prairie dress seems to have made a reappearance as it always does every handful of years or so. Now, the best way to wear a prairie dress is to pair it with something edgy and unexpected like gladiator sandals (see the first picture example below).
Do not pair with cowboy boots or you run the risk of looking like Miley Cyrus and trust us, that's not a good look.
Cynthia Rowley Floral Dress $385

Marc by Marc Jacobs Swiss Dot Sundress $298

Juicy Couture Dot Detail Sundress $260

Betsey Johnson Red Bow Jersey Keyhole Dress $168
Forever21 Patchwork Frock $24.90

Kate and Kass The Virginia Woolf Dress $146.30

Acne Jeans Bella Print Dress $300

C & C California Honeydew Jersey 'Aubrey' Crochet Trim Dress $66
Juicy Couture Smock Halter Neck Dress $230
Tracy Reese Pleated Frock $425

I think the prairie dress is absolutely precious. However you are definitely right cowboy boots are overkill not to mention predictable.
