Kudos to indie chick Selma Blair for playing up the whole voluminous ruffles trend and moving away from her usual menswear attire to something a little more feminine at her recent appearance on TRL. We've seen far too many celebs get it wrong on that show — showing up in too many trends at once or something that doesn't fit their personality.
But, I'm not so sure how I feel about the poofiness on her arms. Although its a welcome change from her usual blazers and pinstripe pants, it may be going a little over the top for TRL.
Still, I love the pinned back forties look and the flirty v-cut of the outfit. Basically, I'm 50-50 on this one. What about you?
Other celebs who have tried the whole ruffle thing. Don't know if it worked for them either...

I actually saw the TRL episode, and I thought Selma looked cool. It matched her personality. The hair was a little over the top for me, though!

I think people either love or hate ruffles. I think they add ultra feminine flair to any outfit. And really can Selma Blair do anything wrong? She's a risk taker and it usually pays off.
