In Memoriam. Yves Saint Laurent Services.
If you were planning on honoring YSL by indulging in his brand, don't try to do it on the day of his memorial service. The company's headquarters in Paris and its boutiques worldwide will be closed today, Thursday, during the memorial services of the legendary couturier.
Details about his memorial service are emerging. Expected guests include French President Nicolas Sarkozy and First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, and the event is said to be held at the Église Saint-Roch, the church whose first stone was laid by Louis XIV. Other guests among the expected 1,000 include Stefano Pilati, Valentino, John Galliano, Giorgio Armani, Hubert de Givenchy, Alber Elbaz, Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Hedi Slimane, Sonia Rykiel, Jean-Louis Scherrer and Kenzo Takada. Among Saint Laurent's past muses expected are Catherine Deneuve, Claudia Schiffer and Laetitia Casta.
Update: Attendees photographed at the ceremony included politicians, muses and models, fellow designers, and admirers.
