Designers. Acting Up. Isaac Mizrahi Hits the Stage. Second City Style Fashion Blog
He's conquered the worlds of high-end design, low-end design, television, film and even home decor. What's left? The only place more dramatic than a runway: the stage. And according to FashionWeekDaily Isaac Mizrahi is about to put a flag on that planet as well. "Mizrahi will narrate Sergei Prokofiev's classic, Peter and the Wolf, put on by Works & Process at the Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Guggenheim Museum from December 15-17, where New York City Opera's music director, George Manahan, will conduct the prestigious Juilliard Ensemble." NEW YORK) No stranger to the stage--having designed for Broadway productions such as The Women, as well as Scott Elliott's Barefoot in the Park and The Threepenny Opera, Isaac Mizrahi is lending his skills to the theater once again. This time, however, his sartorial sensibilities aren't being challenged--his oratory ones are. Mizrahi will narrate Sergei Prokofiev's classic, Peter and the Wolf, put on by Works & Process at the Peter B. Lewis Theater at the Guggenheim Museum from December 15-17, where New York City Opera's music director, George Manahan, will conduct the prestigious Juilliard Ensemble. The opening night benefit on December 15 will be chaired by Amy Fine Collins and Caroline Cronson, and tickets for the other performances will be available to the public at a cost of $35 apiece.
