Summary: This show actually might have single-handedly changed my mind about spring apparel. I loved it. If I come back in my next life as a 5' 10" size 2 woman...I want to wear only Wu. Form fitting, high-wasted, soft pleating, urethral...it had me at hello and held me captivated until the end. What made this different than say BCBG that also had a flowing feel was the amazing craftsmenship and detail. These clothes were works of art. Wearable art. How this 23 year-old has developed such a mature eye is beyond me,but I love watching him grow as a designer.
Color Palette: white, ivory, khaki, tan, nude, black, electric blue, red, slate, grey, acid yellow and blush
Textures & Details: cotton knit, cotton voile, cotton tulle, satin, chiffon, faille ribbon, pleats, hand feathering, cumberbund, skinny patent belts, silver exposed zippers
Key Looks: Nude chiffon gown with bias cut flutter sleeve and shirt train, nude and grey down with hand-washed chiffon skirt and red cumberbund, slate mini trench with pleated cotton tulle skirt and black patent skinny belt, tan and black sheath with deep pleated neckline with a high bodice detail, black cotton satin gown with half sleeve and a stark contrast of the a silver zipper (I loved this detail) and a blush hand-feathered gown with black cumberbund. Stunning.
