Fashion Week 2007. Sleek, Sexy, and Little Bit Dangerous at Jason Wu. Second City Style Fashion Blog.
Summary: The look was edgy, sexy, and a little bit tough, like the bad girls from high school all grown up. Black leather, metallics, and bold shots of red, tempered with graceful chiffon, created a look that reminded me of a futuristic Bond girl.
Color Palette: Black, red, silver, and a little mustard yellow and beige.
Textures and Details: Metallics, satin, skinny belts, empire waists, and a-line coats. Makeup and hair were undone and disheveled, like the girls had been out dancing all night.
Key Looks: Plenty of emphasis on the waist, little cropped jackets, long flowy chiffon gowns, smudgy, smoky eyes.
Overall Impression: The slinky, edgy looks runway brought to mind a sexed up version of Narciso Rodriguez (fitting, as Jason Wu used to work for him).
