Lauren Dimet Waters

Lauren Dimet Waters, Editor-In-Chief of SecondCityStyle and a 15-year consumer marketing expert with an admitted addiction to clothes. I have been told I have the perfect blend of business savvy and fashion-forward thinking. I was an accessories designer and created a sophisticated line of jewelry and rich fabric handbags. I also hold an MBA from Johns Hopkins University.

Six years ago, I moved to Chicago from New York where I kept tabs on the beauty and fashion industry through my designs while creating and running a tourism business in Niagara Falls. Additionally, I have published a celebrated historical guide for the Niagara Falls area.

I began my career in the Prince Retail Program at Simmons College and worked in retail jobs with increasing responsibilities throughout college. This is how I discovered my love of boutique fashions - a wonderful strength of the city of Chicago.

Since June, 2007 I have been living in NYC.

My favorite designers include Chloe, Orlando Espinoza, Balenciaga and Lanvin
